Bath Time

Eva doesn't hate bath time anymore!

Eva's 1st Political Rally

We took Eva to go listen to Barack Obama when he came to Boise. It was her (and Carrie's) 1st political rally and it was really interesting. They were estimating that there would maybe be 8000 people there but there were more than 14000. It was standing room only for some people. Luckily we got there early enough to get seats. They had to turn away about 2000 people because there was just no more room. Anyway, Eva was a perfect little angel the entire time....even standing in line for about an hour in the freezing cold!

Eva's 1 month old!

Here are a few pictures we took of Eva to commemorate her being 1 month old...we can't believe how time is flying by...is there anyway we can slow her down!?!

Sleeping in crib!

Since Eva was born she has been co-sleeping with us. This was one thing that I said I was not going to do but she refused to sleep in her bassinette and would only sleep in bed with us so in order to keep my sanity, this was the arrangement that had to happen.Well, for the last week or so we have been trying to slowly transition her to her crib by putting her in there more during the day while she is asleep and putting her in there at night. At first, she would only stay in there at night for about an hour and then I would bring her into bed with us. Well, for the last 2 out of 3 nights, she has successfully slept all night in her crib only waking up about 3 times to eat. One of the last three nights I tried for over 2 hours to get her to sleep in her crib and then I gave up and brought her to bed with me....but the other 2 nights she has easily slept in her crib!I think part of it was that she was not getting enough to eat. I was trying to exclusively breastfeed but I am not producing enough so she would always still be hungry after eating and would just cry and cry. Well, now I breastfeed her and then give her another 2-4 ounces of formula and then she is happy. This was hard for me at first because I really wanted to just exclusively breastfeed but now I realize that this is just something that has to be done and I am coming to grips with it.Anyway, just wanted to share our little accomplishment.
