In the spirit of our bun in the oven, I thought I'd run a little contest, a BABY POOL if you will. Here's what you have to do if you would like to participate. Post a comment here stating the following:
Date and time of my delivery (i.e. January 8th - 4:42 p.m.)
BONUS QUESTION: (To be used in case of a tie). Guess the weight and length of the baby at birth.
THE PRIZE: Sorry, no money or gift prize here, but, you will be deemed THE GRAND PRINCE/PRINCESS OF THE BABY POOL! :-)
Okay, so here are some details that should help you with your guess.
**My official due date is January 8th, 2008.
**This is my first baby, supposedly first baby's tend to stay in there a little longer (not so with my sister's babies though).
**We are expecting a girl.
WHO WINS? I've decided that the person who comes closest to both the date and time will be deemed the winner. In case of a tie, I'll use the bonus questions!
DEADLINE for participating: I will close the comments on December 23rd, 2007.
Just thought this would be a fun little contest....hope you think so too.

Christmas in September
When we got home on Wednesday, we had all kinds of fun things waiting for us. Our crib had arrived as well as our new video camera that we bought to capture all of baby girls first moments. Also, the title to my car came in the mail. I am trying to sell my car but had lost the title and had to apply for another one. So, we got the crib put together and played with the new video camera. Then, on Thursday, our dresser/changer combo arrived for us to pick up at the store. I had an OB-GYN appointment at 1:30 (everything is still looking great), then I went home and slept until Aaron got home from work (I've been sick the last couple of days). When Aaron got home, we went and picked up the dresser and brought it home and put it together (not an easy task, the instructions for it were horrible). So, baby's room is ready for her. We still have a lot of finishing touches to add, but the painting is done and the furniture is in.

It is FINISHED!!!
I finally finished painting the border in baby's nursery (it took me a week). So, here are the finished pictures of the painted nursery. The pictures don't totally do it justice, it is much cuter in person. :) The last picture shows the curtain that has the same design as the border that I painted. Our baby furniture should be here in a week or so, and then baby's room will pretty much be ready for her.

The Nursery
We used Labor Day to start painting baby's room. It had to be cleaned out first (we had so much junk in there). The painting is a work in progress but it is coming along nicely. So, here are a few before pictures and midway through pictures. I will post after pictures once it is all done. Aaron was really cute and painted her initials on the wall when he was just beginning the painting. So, hopefully we don't change our minds on what to name her once she is born. I can't believe we have just about 4 months left until the big day!
