First Baby Pictures

Well, I had my first Ob-Gyn appointment and everything is looking great. I was given a due date of January 8, 2008. The little peanut (as Dr. Minge likes to say) is about 2.2 mm long. His heartrate is 179 bpm which is right on where it should be. I know the pictures are hard to see, but I just had to post them anyway. I circled Baby Hutchings in one of them so you could have an idea of what you are supposed to be looking at and the other one is of Baby's heartbeat.

Happy Mother's Day

We went down to Twin Falls on the Friday night before Mother's Day. We had Diane open her Mother's Day presents early (because we just couldn't wait any longer)! We made sure she opened Mike's first. Then, she opened the card that we got her. Aaron wrote in the card that he didn't even want to think about having kids for a few more years to throw her off. Then, she opened the present and on top there was a onesie. As soon as she picked it up, she freaked out. There were tears and screaming for the next few minutes. She called her sisters, mom, and friends to tell them right away. And, at church on Sunday morning, she announced it to the entire church.

Telling Carrie's Family

Payton, our 3 year old nephew, had his 3rd birthday party on May 5th and all the family was there so we thought it would be the perfect time to tell everyone. After Payton opened all of his presents, we gave my mom her Mother's Day present (since we were planning on being in Twin Falls on Mother's Day). She opened it and on top was a necklace. Then, she looked at the frame that was on the bottom. It was a baby frame and it had a piece of paper in it that said "Picture due January 2008". The look on her face was priceless. Needless to say, there was a lot of screaming going on once everyone figured it out. Everyone in my family wants us to have a girl (because all the babies are boys).

Aaron's 1st Hole-in-One

This is one of the ways I have heard it described....I've also been told to congratulate Aaron for batting 1000. What is it with guys and their sports analogies? If you haven't yet heard or figured it out, we're pregnant. I took a home pregnancy test on April 29th and it came up positive. (Aaron was out mowing the lawn when I did this and so I went out and showed it to him. Needless to say, he wasn't very happy that I took the test without him). The next day I made an appointment with my family doctor to do a blood test to confirm the pregnancy and then we knew 100% that we were going to have a little baby Hutchings. We don't know the exact due date yet (my first Ob-Gyn appointment is May 31st), but our best guess is January 6-10, 2008.
