Maternity Pictures

Over the Thanksgiving weekend, Aaron and I found some time to take some maternity pics. We had a lot of fun doing them, Aaron made sure of that!

The Shower

We had our baby shower on Saturday and it was wonderful. Brenda and Tami and mom did a great job planning it. I got to see several friends that I haven't seen in quite some time....although I wish I would have had more time to catch up with them, there was just too much going on. Eva got tons and tons of clothes. Her drawers and half her closet were already full before the shower (with lots of great hand me downs) and so now I am trying to reorganize and figure out how to fit everything in what space we have. She has a wardrobe that could compete with anyone's. We definitely are not going to have to buy clothes for a very long time. We slowly but surely are getting ready for this little girl to come. I can't believe we have less than 2 months now.

Progress on Eva's nursery

I finally finished the letters for Eva's nursery and hung them up. (Oh, if you didn't already know, we decided on the name Eva Grace). And I hung up her little toy bag. It's not much, but it's something. Her nursery is slowly but surely coming together.

30 week belly pic

Here I am at 30 weeks. Just 10 weeks to go. I can't believe how fast time has gone by. Aaron compared it to procrastinating studying for an exam and then realizing that the exam is tomorrow morning. We are starting to get that "oh crap" feeling....we still have so much to do and it seems so little time to do it in.

Everything's swell

I was just thinking that it had been quite a while since I have posted anything so I thought I would just give a short update. I just passed my glucose test which is great because I was a little worried about that. But, my iron levels are low and I have to start taking iron supplements....I am not too excited about this but it's better than having GD (gestational diabetes). Besides that, everything has been going really well. My tummy is starting to get in the way a little bit. I seem to have a little trouble tying my shoes now. And I can't squeeze by small spaces like I used to. :-)

Baby Pool

In the spirit of our bun in the oven, I thought I'd run a little contest, a BABY POOL if you will. Here's what you have to do if you would like to participate. Post a comment here stating the following:

BONUS QUESTION: (To be used in case of a tie). Guess the weight and length of the baby at birth.

Okay, so here are some details that should help you with your guess.
**My official due date is January 8th, 2008.
**This is my first baby, supposedly first baby's tend to stay in there a little longer (not so with my sister's babies though).
**We are expecting a girl.
WHO WINS? I've decided that the person who comes closest to both the date and time will be deemed the winner. In case of a tie, I'll use the bonus questions!
