PACT Reunion
We had a reunion of PACT people (the college church group we were in [and Aaron taught] about 10 years ago). It was great to see people we hadn't seen in years and we had a lot of fun.

Fire
On August 28th, there was a devastating fire in our neighborhood. 10 homes were destroyed and 9 damaged and one woman lost her life. I can't imagine what these people must be going though. One couple who lost their home is due with their first baby in 6 weeks (they had finished their nursery and had their baby shower and now they are starting over with just 6 weeks left). Here is a link to their blog....http://lifeafterthefire.blogspot.com/. If you want to help the families impacted by this fire, you can call 590-1437 to make donations to the Boise Fire Department Burn Out Fund. You can also click here https://www.redcrossidaho.org/Default.aspx?TabId=203 to donate through the Red Cross. Also, the families are registering at Bed, Bath, and Beyond for household items. And the couple that lost all their baby stuff is registered at BabiesRUs (registry #44161686).

Eva's had a busy few weeks
First crawling, then pulling up to a stand. Now she has added clapping and cutting her first tooth to her list of new tricks.

New Trick
Now that she has mastered crawling (she's crawling all over now, I'll put her down next to me in the office while I am working on the computer and the next thing I know she is across the house in the laundry room!), she's decided that it would be fun to start pulling to a stand. She mastered this skill just yesterday. She is still pretty wobbly but will even take a step or two while holding onto the couch or the coffee table. I'll try to remember to post a video tonight.

It's all over now!
Eva started crawling a few days ago. The first day she would just crawl about a foot before being done but now she will crawl all the way across the room if there is some incentive (her binky) on the other side.
Dancing Queen
Eva loves music and she loves to dance. When I picked her up from daycare the other day, they told me she was jumping on beat with the music (in the jumperoo). I'm glad she has some rhythm....she must have got that from daddy.

Yummy!
Eva's been on solids for about 3 weeks now and is just starting to actually open her mouth for the food. We used to have to trick her by making her laugh and then sneak the spoon into her open mouth. So far she has had sweet potatoes, avocado, and (just today) butternut squash. She just started sitting in her high chair to eat (before we used her bumbo chair because we thought she would be too little for the high chair). The squash has by far been the messiest so far.
